# Public Embeds

Canvas supports public embeds. Canvases set as public embeds are accessible to anyone who knows the Canvas ID. Use caution when deciding what to put in public embeds.

To make a Canvas embed public, open the embed menu with `Cmd + K` and typing `Embed Canvas`, then check the `Public` checkbox.&#x20;

Public embeds can be used without any token exchange with your backend:
